DM 1/100 Tallgeese III Part 03

Continuing with the build of the Tallgeese I've put the arms together and find myself a bit surprised but the design. Considering my mental image of the Tallgeese 3, I expected the arms to be a little beefier inside but they are weirdly slim as shown on the picture below

Then I thought, oh it will help with the overall articulation since the arm is a little round like a Zaku's so it has the regal-ness of a knight in his armor. To my utter despair its articulation stops at 90 degrees instead of a 180 degrees. Well that's ok. It just leaves plenty of room for modelers to modify the outer shell armor and the arm skeleton for that 180 degrees that's probably unnecessary.

DM 1/100 Tallgeese III Part 02

I tried to do something different and use the method of a fellow blogger Ngee Khiong Ex's and tried cutting all the parts and separating them per segment. It took a while but I have to admit its better for the detailing which I want to accomplish before I put it together.

I've put the inner frame together because I wanted to see what it was like in a skeleton form so I can check for any possible issues with the detailing I put on it later.

First thing I did was work on the leg. Its a bit different from a typical gundam leg since this is a antagonist unit

Its pretty simple but I was surprised by the articulation. It doesn't have a lot of articulation. It doesn't have any armor yet it can't move that far. Weird...

I was hoping I could at least do a complete U with the leg without the armor but I guess since the creators are aware of the limitations of the leg with the armor would cause lesser articulation, the design choice was then made that it would only go as far as the screen shot above. Too bad.

DM 1/100 Tallgeese III Part 01

A good friend of mine was able to acquire a Tallgeese III model kit from the company DM. I normally don't get bootlegs but the reason why I decided to get this is because I have a MG Proto Zero and I wanted to have his rival suit ASAP :D 

I'll be posting details of my experience with this kit.
